The beaver knife takes its name partly from its shape and partly because it is a favourite hand tool among North American beaver trappers. The blade is sharpened at a single angle, allowing you to keep your wrist in a natural position whilst thinning a hide.
This knife is also ideal for skinning fatty animals, and of course for hand-slicing fatty hides such as those of wild boar, badgers and raccoons. The thick, rounded tip of the knife allows you to easily and safely loosen the skin in areas such as the animal’s armpits.
Available in both right-handed and left-handed versions, manufactured in the Netherlands.
