Trophy protector against insect damage and for the qualitative preservation of the preparation
Spray can with insecticide based on biological active ingredients, to preserve and protect preparations. Contents 500 ml.
The trophy protector does not need to be rubbed. It is a gaseous product that can be sprayed onto the specimen from approximately 30 cm. No damage to acrylic paint and eyes when used correctly. When the can is empty, it can be thrown into the same waste bin as an empty can of hairspray.
Depending on the size of the collection, it is recommended that all specimens be treated once every quarter to once every six months. Before treating, we recommend spraying all preparations thoroughly, then leaving the room for an hour and then allowing it to air out. For smaller preparations, the product works most effectively if, for example, it is placed in a plastic bag, the gas is injected into it and kept closed for a while. It can also be used on skulls. It is of course important that a specimen is clean.
The big advantage of this product compared to a standard 'anti-bug spray' is that this product is not an atomizable spray, but a gas. The major disadvantage of a wet spray compared to gas is that it forms a layer around the specimen. Dust adheres well to this layer, and you essentially create a large pile of sticky dust – a kind of treat for moths and beetles.
Please note: do not inhale the gas!
